What is PP plastic? Are PP plastic utensils safe?

PP plastic is the abbreviation for Polypropylene and is a polymer with high mechanical strength.

The identifying characteristics of PP plastic are transparent white plastic products, colorless, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic. However, they can be mixed with additional colorants to create more eye-catching finished products for consumption.
